Residential design, made personal.
FS Design Studio was built on the belief that good design is about more than creating beautiful spaces. It's about understanding how people live, responding thoughtfully to each site and creating homes that feel connected to their surroundings.

Small studio.
Personal approach.
Thoughtful design.
At FS Design Studio, we believe great architecture comes from a personal understanding of the people and places we design for.
As an independent architectural design studio, we offer a highly personal experience, combining creative design thinking with practical knowledge and attention to detail.
Every project is approached individually, with an emphasis on thoughtful planning, natural light, connection to landscape and spaces that respond to the way people live.
Our studio has grown through genuine relationships, word of mouth and a shared appreciation for considered, meaningful design.
How we work
From the first conversation to bringing your ideas to life.
- 01
Let's talk
We start with a conversation and an initial complimentary site meeting to understand your ideas, budget and property.
- 02
Sketch design
We explore layouts, forms and ideas together, working through the design in a collaborative workshop. Rather than simply emailing plans through, we like to walk you through the design, explain the thinking behind our decisions and show you how the different spaces work together.
- 03
Concept
We refine the design based on your feedback and create 3D renders to bring it to life. We also work with a builder, either yours or one we recommend, to obtain preliminary pricing and ensure the design aligns with your budget.
- 04
DA / CDC
We take care of the documentation, coordinate consultants and manage the approval process with Council or your certifier. You'll have one point of contact throughout, making the process as simple and stress-free as possible.
- 05
CC
We prepare detailed drawings and documentation for builder pricing and construction, coordinate with engineers and consultants, and manage the Construction Certificate (CC) approval process, getting everything ready for your build to begin!
- 06
Construction
Depending on the level of involvement required, we can continue working alongside you, your builder and the project consultants throughout construction, helping resolve design questions and ensuring the original vision is carried through.
Meet Fer.
The face behind FS Design Studio.
FS Design Studio started almost by accident.
I take a very personal approach to every project because, for me, the relationships are just as important as the architecture.
